Below are links to the image galleries for artists that I have photographed at the Leith Folk Club. What started out as a one-off offer of help when Victoria Vox (a fantastically talented Ukulele player and all-round nice lass) was playing has turned into a fully fledged project with an upcoming exhibition in February 2009.
If you are interested in attending then the Folk Club is held every Tuesday night in the Village Bar, South Fort Street, Leith. Don't let the 'folk' label put you off (as it almost did me!) - this is a fantastically varied and talented group of musicians from all over the world. It has been an absolute privilege hearing them play and I am thrilled to have discovered the club. This is a gem of a place and fantastic to find out that real, live music is still alive and well in modern Scotland.
My sincere and heartfelt thanks go to all the artists who have agreed to be photographed. Long may they continue to entertain! Visit the club website here.
